The 1st period, Penguins were dominating the Devils, 15-8 in shots, Great Job by Johnson. but the first goal came in the 19min when Alex Goligoski Rips one and scores! 1-0 Penguins.

2nd Period, the Devils got two penaltys in the last period and got three penaltys this period. On the first Powerplay of the period for the penguins. Mark Letestu scored!. 2-0. Shots were even this period 8-8.

3rd period, After killing a penalty the Devils got a faceoff in the offencive zone, Arnott won the faceoff got it back to Elias and he scored 1-2 Devils. Really nice goal. The last min of the match Devils took out their goalie for an extra player. but Martin got the puck, went all the way and scored!. 3-1 PENS!. End of match

PENS WIN 3-1, Last time Pens won against Devils was April 1, 2009 at home. but last time Pens won away agianst the Devils was December 26, 2008.

Game 2: Canadiens @ Pittsburgh


The 1st period was pretty good, pleanty of shots by both teams. but after 15min Cammalleri scores and Montreal leads 1-0.

The 2nd period, The Penguins had a powerplay, and when the Powerplay was over, Malkin Ripped it and scored, Assisted by Crosby and Goligoski.

the 3rd period was the period with the most goals. after 8min Mark Letestu shots and scores!, assisted by Cooke and Martin. with under 3min left of the 3rd period. Montreal's Cammalleri strikes again and it's 2-2. and only 24 sec after Canadiens score, they score again, this time Gomez. it's 3-2 Canadiens. A very sloppy job by Letang lead to that goal.

First match ever in Consol Energy Center.

Before the game it was a great tribute for John Barbero. R.I.P.
And Later on Mario Went out to drop some water from the ice that got demolished in the Civic Arena. Really Epic.

The 1st period was very good, it felt like it was a Playoff match. I had a lot of problems with NHL Center Ice so i missed a bit of the first period, but what i saw was that Flyers rookie goalie Bobrovsky was totaly amazing. Great saves.

In the 2nd period it all started to head downhill, Flyers scored twice and had a two goal lead against the Penguins. Penguins were down by two goals against there rivals Flyers in the Consol Energy Center.

In the 3rd period Tyler Kennedy Scored the Penguins first goal ever in the Consol Energy Center. Then Penguins got a great chance to make the game even again, but Flyers got the puck and scored on a shorthanded goal... But on the same powerplay, Michalek Rips one and Gogo Touches it and Pens score!. 2-3. One goal away. Fleury made a unbelievable save at the end of the period. under 2 min left of the game and Flyers take a penalty. Penguins can tie the game for the first time in this game. But they fail to score and the match ends.

Pens lose 2-3 in the first game ever in Consol Energy Center. Just like losing vs. Canadiens at the first Civic Arena game.

Pre-Season

Pittsburgh Penguins Pre-Season

Redwings @ Pittsburgh 1-5
First game ever in Consol Energy Center and the Pens start the pre-season in penguins style!. only 1 min in to the match and new penguin M.Comrie Scores! the game ended 5-1 to the penguins and what a way to open the Consol Energy Center and the Preseason.

Penguins @ Columbus 5-4
A really great game, Ashem the new penguin scored only 30 sec in to the match. And it was a close game. Pens win 5-4!

Blue Jackets @ Pittsburgh 1-3
Now this was a Playoff Calibur match. We saw Letang fight two times, Godard fought once, Wallace fought and we even saw Malkin vs. Nash in a Fighting Contest. Malkin was the king and pounded nash and won the fight. Great match. Pens win 3-1

Blackhawks @ Pittsburgh 1-4
The 2010 Stanley Cup Champions vs. 2009 Stanley Cup Champions without Crosby.
Malkin Scored the first goal at 12min in to the first period. Penguins dominated and had 39 Shots against the Blackhawks that only had 22 shots at the end of the game. Pens win 1-4

Penguins @ Blackhawks 2-5
Rematch but at Chicago this time. Penguins played without Malkin, Crosby and Orpik. And Chicago had all the big stars. Pens lost 2-5

Penguins @ Detroit 5-2
Last Game in the Pre-season and the Penguins were out there to shine. Malkin had a 4 point night. Pens win 5-2

It's time for the season, but what we did not know was that penguins would have a bad open to the season.
