Penguins vs. Flyers Stanley Cup Conferance Quarter-Fianl 2009

Game 1 Win 1



The cold war Between the Penguins and the Flyers. The series took it's start in Mellon Arena thx to Rangers win over Flyers because we got the number 4th spot in the Eastern Conferance. I really Remember Crosby's first goal in the series assisted by Malkin, in a powerplay. This is was my second Stanley Cup playoff game that i ever saw "live". Then it bounced in and it was 1-0 to Pittsburgh!. The hit on Cooke was an ilegal stick to the face. it should have been a penalty but it did not happen. i still remember the face of cooke with the cuttonthings in his nose. Kennedy took the puck from the middle of the ice and went all the way in to the flyer zone and scored!. Malkin steals the puck from a nothing chance and scores!, Malkin's first Goal of the Playoffs!. Faceoff in the Flyer zone. Crosby wins the faceoff, letang takes it, passes it to Eaton, Eaton Rips a shot from the blue line and scores!. Fleury did not get a Shotout. Knuble scored for the flyers. Guerin in a fight at the end. But Penguins win the Game 4-1!

Game 2 Win 2



The game starts out very hard hitting, Orpik with some great hits!. Hartnell got a early 0-1 goal for the flyers. Fleury with a Great save on Jeff Carter's breakaway chance. Malkin passes it to Guerin that rips a shot and SCORES!. Powe scored for the flyers to make it a 1-2 lead for the Flyers. Then one of the greatest saves i have ever seen, Fleury robs ROBS Carter that had an empty net to score but Fleury's toe said no!. Penguins need to score a Powerplay was awarded to Pittsburgh 4min left in the game. Gonchar passes it to Letang, Letang shoots it to the goal, it hits Malkin's knee and in the goal!, Penguins make it a tie game Again!. Overtime was going to happen, Last time there was an overtime playoff game against the flyers in this building flyers beat us in one of the longest hockey games ever. but this was not going to happen this time. Fleury saves the penguins with an awesome save in OT. Gill will get a penalty against him, Penguins fans + me are angry because this is to easy to be a penalty, and seconds before staal was being hit down to the ice, no penalty was called. Flyers get a powerplay in OT with 4min left in the first OT Period. Adams has a chance to end it, but Biron get out and "clears" the puck, Orpik get's a cross-check from behind, this makes it a 4 on 4 game. with only 2 min left on the 4 on 4, Kunitz stick get's slashed and flyers get a penalty. 5 on 3 for the penguins in the last 2:35 min left. with 1:37 left on the clock, Malkin get the puck to Gonchar. Gonchar Fakes a shot, then passes it to Guerin and he Scores!!!! Bill Guerin wins it for the Penguins in overtime!. Who was your player of the game?, Marc-Andre Fleury or Bill Guerin?. I Would say Fleury!. But Bill Guerin was awesome!

The Penguins will head in to Philadelphia with a 2-0 in games!

Game 3, 4, 5 and 6 is still to come!
