If you get rid of Malkin what will happend to the powerplay?. Gonchar is nearly on his way out if penguins don't sign him for a new contract. Gonchar is the Quarterback/M.V.P of the Penguin Powerplay. If he's gone that means that Malkin is the Best Powerplay Guy. He had 12PPG after only playing 67 games this season. Crosby had 13PPG after 81 games. Malkin hade the most powerplay goals of the Penguins since his rookie year. And you want to trade him?.
2008-2009 Season, Everybody was against Crosby, they said that he was not as great as he was before. He had a slump like Malkin had this season. here's an example

Everybody has a bad season sometimes. Nobody was so harsh on Crosby, not all the people said let's Trade Crosby, because we knew that he could shake it off. What happend? Crosby vs. Crapitals Series in the Playoffs. Malkin had the same slump this year at the same period as Crosby. And everybody bandwaggon fan/ Bullshit Reporters like Rossi and Cooke Said Trade Malkin!. why is everybody against Malkin when EXACLEY THE SAME HAPPEND TO CROSBY! and look what happend to Crosby, Next Season he came back and got 51 goals!. Malkin can and will make a good season next year!. We have been here before, and we know what will happen!
at the end of the 2008 season, Crosby was Injured. Malkin was the Man that took the Pittsburgh Penguins on his back. Every night he went out and fought for the Penguins. Ended the Season with 47 Goals, and 59 Assist = 106 Points. Crosby got 51 Goals and 58 assist = 109 Points this season. Only 3p from each other. And still you want to trade him?

Malkin was on Fire with 35 Goals, 78 Assists = 113 Points and won the Art Ross Trophy!. 14 Powerplay Goals Lead Penguins. 2 Shorthanded Goals Shared the Lead with Talbot. in the Playoffs he had 14 Goals and 22 Assist = 36 Points won the Conn Smythe Trophy 2 Penguin to ever win one. 7th of all time in points for one Playoff after Gretzky, Lemieux and Coffey. He lead the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Final after Winning the Whole Carolina series nearly by himself. and you still want to trade him?
Instead of Trading Malkin we shall get a good winger that can score with Malkin!. I say but Talbot, Malkin and Tangradi in one line but that is only me.
I think that the Real Problem here is that Bullshit Journalists like Cooke and Rossi Should read there history before they begin to yap.
Evgeni Malkin is one of the greatest players that is in the NHL. Sometimes you have a bad season, sometimes you have a great season. But you need to have a bad season to learn to have a great season!.
